Deep Thoughts... by Starbuck

It is a sad commentary on our time when I drive past the gas station and get excited because gas is down to $3.41... I remember when I was in high school and got mad when gas jumped to $1. Sad commentary.

I know this has nothing to do with gas, but I wanted to tell you what I did as I thought about you this weekend! I bought a bag that has "Hope" on it, written over the symbol for breast cancer. It was a bag created just for breast cancer awareness month, and so I bought it hoping somehow it would help people with cancer, and I thought of you because you have been so stalwart in this fight, right at your mom's side, and how I respect you so much for your courage, and everything you've done for cancer awareness. I hope it never seems like too little to you, but if it does, I can assure you your example and influence have stretched further than you'll probably ever know. I work at a middle school, and just from your influence, there are an extra 1500 kids who know more than they did last month!! Anyway, sorry to make this so long, but just know that you are so darn loved!! And so is MOM!!!
